Q: What is your sheet music copy policy?
A:
Buying downloaded music is just like buying sheet music. You pay for the number of copies you will use. When you enter the number of copies at checkout, a multiple copy discount will automatically be calculated. Your receipt shows the number of legal copies you can make. Thank you for your honesty.
Q: How many computers or MP3 players can I place your music
on?
A:
Our license allows you to place the MP3 song files on five different devices within
the same household. One device can be a computer, another an iPod, CD, etc. Note
that this license does not include distribution (i.e. to relief society members).
A new copy would need to be purchased for each and every device in such a situation.
Q: Do you offer LDS Sheet Music?
A: Yes, simply click on the "Print Music" button on the shop page to view our catalog of sheet music.
Q: Where are you based?
A: Technically we're based
in Eagle Mountain, Utah. We also have partners in both Sandy and Lehi, Utah.
Q: Do you offer discounts for purchasing large quantities?
A: With the launch of our new website, we've enabled quantities of 5 or more to receive discounts (sheet music only). These discounts are automatically reflected at checkout. MP3's are not eligible for multiple quantity discounts.
Q: How many copies of the music am I able to print after purchasing sheet music from you?
A: For each piece of sheet music you purchase from LDSMusicNow.com you are licensed to print only one copy. For additional licenses please purchase additional copies of the piece or songbook.
Q: I purchased a song,
but didn't get an e-mail with download instructions.
A: After you have completed the purchase process, you are immediately redirected to download the music. An e-mail with download instructions
is also sent to you. If you did not receive this e-mail, please verify that it did
not arrive in your spam or junk mail folders. We also recommend adding contact@ldsmusicnow.com
to your address book to ensure delivery. Otherwise, visit the My Account section, login, and view your order history to have the e-mail resent. Feel free to also contact us if issues persist.
Q: Do I need any special program to view or listen to the music I download?
A: Yes, but you most likely already have it installed. All of our sheet music is in portable document format (PDF) and can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Please visit http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html to download the application if you do not currently have it installed. Our music comes in standard MP3 files, and can be easily played in Windows Media Player, iTunes, and other applications.
Q: Are Mac users also able to download music from your store?
A: Anyone with a computer, web browser, and the ability to open PDF documents or MP3 files are able to use our service.
The website has been built with compliant XHTML code as well as PHP, so as long as you have a modern web browser you should not experience any problems. Should you find yourself running into problems, we suggest using an alternate browser. Our suggestion, Firefox.
Q: If I purchase a song, how long does it take before I'm able to download it?
A: Once you make a purchase you are able to instantly download the file(s). After your purchase, you are redirected to a page on our site to download the songs or songbooks you purchased. An e-mail with instructions for downloading the song(s) is also sent as a backup.
Q: I downloaded a song, but I can't find where the file was downloaded.
A: If you are using Firefox, Netscape, or Safari files are downloaded to your desktop by default. You should find the file there. Internet Explorer users are prompted to save the file initially, so the file can be found in the location you specified.
Q: How much time do I have to download a song after I've purchased it?
A: The link you will receive remains active for 120 hours. Please be sure to check your e-mail after your purchase as the file(s) will be available for download immediately. Note that we recommend saving the file(s) to your computer versus referring to the download links to view or listen to your music.
Q: What do I do if my download links have expired?
A: Simply login to the My Account section and view the order history. You have the ability to reissue the download links for your purchase. Please note that download links expire after 120 hours or 5 downloads, whichever comes first. Otherwise, you can contact us, and we can assist you with reissuing the download links.
Q: Why does the music I downloaded have a copyright notice?
A: When you purchase our music, you receive an e-mail license document and an e-mail receipt for the number of copies you paid for. This is your proof of purchase. Simply put those documents together with the
song in your music library, to show the music was legally downloaded. The copyright notice remains on the music for a reminder to others that additional copies are illegal.
Once you have downloaded the music, you can either print the number of copies you purchased from your computer, or print one and photocopy the rest from that, with your documentation providing the proof of purchase.
This method is more convenient to our customers and avoids any mailing delays.
Q: How do I add MP3's to iTunes?
A: Once you've successfully downloaded the files from our site, please check the location either you specified or is the default download location for your web browser. Once you've located the files, open iTunes, and go to File > Add to Library. Select the MP3 files, and iTunes will import them into your iTunes library. Note that we recommend adjusting your iTunes settings using the instructions at http://www.ldsmusicnow.com/faq/#itunes to ensure the files remain within your library after importing.
Q: iTunes is no longer able to locate my song. Where did it go?
A: This is typically because the file didn't get copied into the iTunes music library, and so iTunes is referencing the file that was originally downloaded. If that file is ever deleted, then iTunes is no longer able to locate it. To solve this problem, open your iTunes preferences. Under the advanced section, make sure the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" is checked. This will ensure all songs downloaded and added to iTunes remain in iTunes.
Q: How long does it take for my order to arrive in the mail?
A: Since we are a download-only provider, nothing is ever mailed to you. After a purchase, you are immediately redirected to a page on our site to download your purchase. An e-mail is also sent as a backup. Be aware, however, that you can burn the music you've purchased to a CD using a program like iTunes. We do have 2 exceptions; LDS Art and music accessories (i.e. headphones) are physically shipped to you. All music, however, is not.
Q: How do I download your music direct to my iPad/iPhone/mobile device?
A: Unfortunately, due to the setup of current mobile operating systems, the ability to download an MP3 file directly from the web to your mobile devices music app isn't possible. We recommend downloading using a computer, and syncing with your mobile device.
